Birth 5: The Dextral Derivative—Brahma from the Right Side of Shiva

I. The Scriptural Basis: The Right-Side Emanation

In the hierarchical narratives of the Shaiva Puranas, Brahma is not a self-existent creator but a subordinate byproduct of Shiva’s anatomy. According to these accounts, after producing Vishnu from his left side, Shiva spread the "liquorine nectar" on his right side. From this liquid essence, Brahma manifested to perform the secondary task of creation under Shiva’s command.

Śiva Purāṇa, Rudra-saṃhitā, Sṛṣṭi-khaṇḍa, book two, section one, chapter six, verse twenty to verse twenty‑five  — Describes Brahmā’s emergence from Śiva’s right side and Viṣṇu’s from His left. “Then He (Śiva) spread the nectarine essence on His left side; therefrom a person was born and named Viṣṇu. Then the Great Lord spread the essence on His right side; there from Brahmā was born.”

II. The "Scientific" Prosecution: The Biology of Thoracic Parturition

The "scientific" heights of the ancient Shaivite sages suggest that the right thoracic region of a male deity is a fertile ground for producing complex life-forms. Let us prosecute this biological absurdity:

The Dextral Asymmetry: Biologically, the right side of a torso contains the liver and the right lung. It possesses no uterine tissue, no fallopian tubes, and no birth canal. By what "divine" organic chemistry does a liquid nectar spread on the skin penetrate the dermal layers to synthesize a skeletal structure, a four-headed nervous system, and a digestive tract?

The mDNA Dead End and the Chemistry of Excretion: As a "motherless" birth, Brahma once again lacks Mitochondrial DNA. Since mDNA is inherited solely through the female ovum, Brahma’s cells are effectively power-less. He is a biological zombie existing in total defiance of cellular respiration. Furthermore, we must analyze the "liquorine nectar" itself. In physiological terms, any fluid secreted through the epidermis is an excretory product—a dilute solution of electrolytes, urea, and metabolic byproducts. For this "nectar" to produce a life form, it would require the presence of germ cells, pluripotent stem cells, and complex lipid bilayers, none of which exist in dermal secretions.
This leads to a devastating ontological conclusion: If the Shudra is mocked for being born from the "feet" (a functional limb of the body), Brahma’s and Vishnu’s origin is far more "abominable." The Shudra comes from a limb; Brahma and Vishnu comes from a secretion, which in biological and physiological language is synonymous with bodily waste. By the very laws of Puranic physiology, Brahma is born from the "sweat" or "excreta" of Shiva, making the supposed "creator" lower than the very outcasts he purports to rule.

The Nutrition & Waste Paradox: A developing embryo requires a placental exchange to receive oxygen and expel metabolic waste. If Brahma "manifested" from a nectar on Shiva's skin, where was his life-support system? Did he spend his "gestation" absorbing Shiva's sweat for nutrients while his own waste products putrefied on the surface of Shiva's skin?

Chromosomal Chaos: If Brahma is an emanation of Shiva, he should share Shiva's genetic profile. However, Brahma is four-headed, while Shiva is often five-headed or three-eyed. How can a "right side" secretion undergo such massive, instantaneous chromosomal mutations to produce a different species-type without a maternal genetic stabilizer? This violates the very concept of the "Species Barrier" and the stability of the Zona Pellucida.

III. The Demi-God and the Sectarian Wars

This narrative is a transparent attempt by Shaivites to demote Brahma to the status of a mere appendage.

The Demi-God Status: If Brahma has a "starting point" in Shiva’s right side, then Brahma is a demi-god, not the self-existing Supreme. He is a dependent effect of Shiva’s anatomy. If he were truly God, he would have no beginning and no "side" from which to emerge.

The Logical Contradiction of Self-Creation: To argue that Brahma "brought himself to existence" through Shiva is a logical suicide. An entity must exist to act. If Brahma did not exist, he could not "manifest." If he did exist, the birth is a theatrical sham. A true God does not "become"; He eternally IS.

The Seed of Violence: This "Right-Side" vs. "Left-Side" theology shows how the Shaivites thought of the other gods as mere secretions. This theological arrogance is precisely why Vaishnavites and Shaivites historically fought and killed each other—each sect trying to prove their god was the "source" and the others were merely "byproducts."

IV. The Biblical Contrast: The Uncreated King vs. The Anatomical Byproduct

What hope does a "side-born" demi-god offer to the "Untouchable"? In the Hindu system, Brahma is the one who decrees that the Shudra is "born from the feet." If the "God" himself is just a byproduct of a rib or a nectar secretion, the human soul has no inherent value—it is just another piece of a cosmic chemical accident.

Contrast this with the True God and Jesus Christ:

Eternal Self-Existence: The God of the Bible is never "produced." He does not emerge from the limb of another. He is the Self-Existent I AM (Exodus 3:14). He does not "manifest" at a point in time; He is the Creator of Time.

The Singular Purpose of the Incarnation: Jesus Christ was not an accidental emanation or a liquid byproduct. His birth was a targeted, holy entry into history to redeem the marginalized. He was not "born to kill" to maintain a hierarchy; He was "born to die" to destroy all hierarchies.

Dignity for the Outcast: Brahma emerged to enforce a system of "parts" (Head, Arms, Thighs, Feet). Jesus was born to prove that every human being, regardless of birth, is a "Child of God." He did not stay in a "high" place like a divine side; He descended to the lowest place—the manger—to lift the untouchable to His throne.

Brahma is a myth of dextral dependency; Jesus is the Reality of Sovereign Grace. One is a secretion; the other is the Savior.
